 Gospel Jn 12:24-26 Buy Inspirational Seeds...  Jesus said to his disciples: "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be. The Father will honor whoever serves me." Reflections: Jesus offers us challenges, which are not common in this world. The human tendency is to accumulate wealth so that one can have a happy life. Jesus invites us to let go and surrender everything before God and to use wealth for the good of the people and glory of God. The seed which fell on good ground was able to take root and bring forth fruit. The seed is God's grace. Our life must come from the seed, God’s grace. They were astonished and said, "Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds? Is he not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother named Mary and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Are not his sisters all with us? Where did this man get all this?" And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house." And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith. Reflection:  The wisdom of Jesus was visibly known when he preached in the synagogue. His hearers were astonished at his teaching and began questioning. Wisdom does not always come from the outstanding personalities in an extraordinary way; but rather, wisdom also comes from the simplicity of life and humble attitude. ...
