Gospel Lk 21:12-19 Reimagine your Faith Journey... Gospel Text: Jesus said to the crowd: "They will seize and persecute you, they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons, and they will have you led before kings and governors because of my name. It will lead to your giving testimony. Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute. You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. You will be hated by all because of my name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance you will secure your lives." Reflections: The gospel is a reminder to the believers that persecution and challenges in their faith journey can be expected. So, the path of discipleship is not always easy but Jesus assures them of his divine guidance. He promises to provide them with the right

Gospel Lk 8:19-21 Need help increasing faith? Gospel Text: The mother of Jesus and his brothers came to him but were unable to join him because of the crowd. He was told, "Your mother and your brothers are standing outside and they wish to see you." He said to them in reply, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it." Reflections : Faith without action holds no true value. Mere words, such as promising to pray for someone, lose significance if they become an excuse to avoid taking tangible steps to resolve an issue. Often, we may find ourselves using the phrase 'I am praying' as an escape from taking active measures. In today's gospel, we learn that to be true siblings or mothers to Jesus Christ, we must not only hear the word of God but also align our actions with it. In other words, genuine faith is demonstrated through deeds that reflect the teachings and principles of God. It is through both attentive listening

Gospel Mt 15:21-28 Increase your faith with tips from here  Gospel Text   And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.  And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.”   But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.”   He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”   But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.”   And he answered, “It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.”   She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.”  Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly. Reflections: “I was sent to the lost sheep of the people of Israel” these words of Jesus af

Gospel Mt 8:5-17 When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully." He said to him, "I will come and cure him." The centurion said in reply, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come here,' and he comes; and to my slave, 'Do this,' and he does it." When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, "Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith. I say to you, many will come from the east and the west, and will recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the banquet in the Kingdom of heaven, but the children of the Kingdom will be driven out into the outer darkness, where there will be wailing and grind
