Gospel Jn 3:13-17 How to live the Cross Gospel Text: Jesus said to Nicodemus: "No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life." For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father's glory, and then he will repay each according to his conduct. Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom." Reflections: We live in a world taken over by the materialism. People seem happy and satisfied by   momentary pleasures and attraction of the world. Today Jesus challenges us saying “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul”. In our spiritual life what is import
