Reflections:
Jesus, always spoke to his disciples in parables and short stories so they kept on wondering and thinking what was he saying. They sometimes questioned him also but now he was plainly speaking to them so they knew what he was telling them and they believed he had come from God.
Jesus tells them that his hour has come to go to the father and they will be scattered and he will be left alone. But he assures them that he is not alone and the father is with him. He also tells them that they will have peace in him and will face many obstacles and tribulations in the world but nothing will stop them from doing what is good.
As Jesus faced many obstacles and tribulations during his life on earth. In today’s time we too are facing the same. Many places’ churches are being burnt and Christians being persecuted but we do not have to fear because Jesus is with us, the one who gives us peace and strength to face the situation. If we really believe and trust in Jesus, nothing can harm us because he has overcome the world.
