25 January, 2024 | Feast of the Conversion of St Paul

 Reading 1 : Acts 22:3-16

Gospel Mk 16:15-18

Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them:

"Go into the whole world

and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved;

whoever does not believe will be condemned.

These signs will accompany those who believe:

in my name they will drive out demons,

they will speak new languages.

They will pick up serpents with their hands,

and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them.

They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Reflections:

 In these verses, Jesus commissions His disciples to go out into the world and share the gospel, proclaiming salvation to all who believe. He also promises that signs and wonders will accompany those who believe in His name, demonstrating the power and authority of God at work through them. We are called to share the good news of Jesus with others, both through our words and our actions. This can be done through evangelism, missions, and simply living out our faith in a way that draws others to Christ. We can ask ourselves how we are engaging in spreading the gospel message and reaching out to those who do not yet know Jesus.

Activity

Step out in faith, trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit, share the gospel message boldly to others and experience signs and wonders accompanying your life today.
