Jer 15:10, 16-21 Gospel Mt 13:44-46 Jesus said to his disciples: "The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it." Reflection: Through these two parables of today’s Gospel Jesus teaches us not to let opportunities pass by when the kingdom of God comes to us, but to sacrifice everything so that we may come to possess it. It may happen that one comes to know about it by chance like the farmer who found the buried treasure hidden in a field, or it can be as a result of a long search as the merchant made. They gave up everything they had in order to own what they considered most important and precious in life. That was to know Jesus Christ and to enter into his kingdom.
